The mind melting temperature at the sun's core can reach 27 million degrees F (15 million degrees C). I think I'm going to go slather up in a bath of sunscreen right now.

Father makes viral plea to end childhood cancer (8 Photos)

Posted: 09 Nov 2016 05:30 AM PST

Most, if not all of us, know someone who is or has battled cancer. It seems like no one is spared from its affects anymore. Unfortunately, and most alarming perhaps, is the rate at which children are being diagnosed. One in every 285 children will be diagnosed with some form of cancer before they turn 20 years old. Even more frightening is the fact that a child will be given a life-threatening diagnosis every three minutes. Beautiful and vibrant little Jessica Whelan is one such child. Just over a year ago, Jessica was diagnosed with stage-four neuroblastoma -- a form of cancer that begins its growth in the cells of an embryo or fetus. Doctors discovered the condition after Jessica had been complaining of pain in her arms and legs, confining her to a hospital bed for over ten weeks.

Brits awoke to find their favorite pointy shaped delicacy has been changed to a less peak ridden shape and the citizens of the British Isles have gone into full chocolate meltdown.

Brush up on some obscure words about your ‘Mo (15 Photos)

Posted: 09 Nov 2016 02:30 AM PST

November is here, which means what gentlemen? Yes, you put the razors away and grow a nice moustache or beard for Movember and raise buckets of money for prostate cancer. And since you'll be rocking a sweet Mo or beard for the month, perhaps you need to brush up on some old-timey, obscure lingo for how to describe yourself, your beard/mo, or others in your social circle. Starting this this one. A "beardie weirdie" is a term that was used in the '60s to describe a 'bookish egghead' or a 'radical rabble-rouser.' Now it can be used for anyone who's got a non-traditional beard style.

’80s sweaters that are so bad they might be due for a comeback (28 Photos)

Love the decade or hate it, the 1980s were memorable for damn sure. The people were loud, the hair was big, and the neon colored clothing were borderline insane. But we had fun, right? And for those nostalgia seeking old-timers like myself (or grandmothers) there is a website that presents bizarre sweaters worn by folks during the '80s. The amusing Tumblr Wit Knits, posts pictures of sweaters taken from a real knitting pattern book from 1986. Embrace the horror, and enjoy the fashion!

The beauty in Sydney-based Michael Pederson's art is that you'd likely walk right past it. While it might seem exceptionally random, that's exactly what he's aiming for - a subtle and quirky sign you'd only notice if you took the time to stop and smell the flowers.
