Déjà vu is the French saying for "Already seen." It is that eerie feeling that you've found yourself in a scenario that you're convinced you've lived before. Whether it's something as simple as seeing a lady in a funny hat call her dog back into the house, or something as complex as an entire chain of events, Déjà vu is downright creepy. Déjà vu has yet to be scientifically proven, but here are five theories that are plausible reasons as to why we experience it.
