McDonald's in New Zealand launched a "Create Your Taste" campaign with a special promotion: Design your own burger and get free fries and a soft drink for your troubles. It's not a bad offer, but then... the internet. It decided to do its thing and created some terrible burgers with some... very questionable names.

Believe it or not, these words made it to the dictionary this year (19 Photos)

Posted: 21 Jul 2016 08:15 AM PDT

It's a strange world we live in, but I don't have to tell you that. I also don't have to tell you that each year new jargon comes out that catches on like wildfire... and there's not much we can do about it. Last year the dictionary was blessed with fleek, facepalm and feels, and this year the words are no less entertaining. Here are some of the colorful phrases and terms added for 2016, starting off with mom jeans, defined as unstylish women's jeans.

Close friends and family of mine who've come to know me over the years understand I have a mild obsession with miniature golf courses. As Forest Gump ALMOST famously said, "I'm not a smart man, but I know what fun is." So when I read that there was another passionate mini-golf fanatic out there taking a massive road trip around the US to visit all the best rated mini-golf courses, you could be assured I was in hook line and sinker. Imgur user dangermoth did the Internet a solid by documenting his 2-month journey, which I will let him tell you about in his own words... South Carolina - Mt. Atlanticus "Yup. This was the real deal: the crown jewel of the mini golf capital of the world. The self stylized

Lemnos Men's Cucu Cuckoo Clock - Back in the day, every household had one. They are also probably one of the things you vividly remember when visiting your grandparents. And believe it or not, thanks to the Japanese company Lemnos Clocks and young designer Yuichi Nara, they are making a comeback. We are talking about the modern version of cuckoo clocks and the one produced by Lemnos – aptly called CUCU – is unique and very precise. After all, Lemnos make clocks for one of the world's finest – Seiko. The clock comes in four different colors.

Jason Haney is a construction worker in South Bend, Indiana, who wanted to cheer up the kids in the nearby children's hospital. So, Haney and his daughter decided to make an 8-foot-tall cutout of the famous Where's Waldo and hide it around the construction side for the kids to find. Once Haney found out the kids had spotted Waldo he would move it to a different spot. A Facebook page was even created for the kids to post photos of Waldo. The awesome father-daughter duo is already working Minion cut-outs for the kids.
