Liver donor ends up marrying the woman whose life he saved (8 Photos & Video)

Heather Krueger and Chris Dempsey didn't meet and court in the most traditional of ways. Back in 2014, Heather had been diagnosed with stage 4 liver disease and doctors told her the grim news that she had only 4 months to live unless she found an organ donor. "I was told I had less than a 50 percent chance of living more than two months," Krueger told ABC. "It was traumatic." And to make matters worse, finding a willing liver donor who is also a match for a liver transplant is an almost an impossible task. But miraculously, Chris Dempsey, who at that time was working as a code enforcement officer in Frankfort, Illinois, overheard a coworker in the break room talking about how his cousin would likely die if didn't get a liver transplant. Chris was no stranger to a strong moral code which stemmed back to his days in the Marine Corps: "I spent four years in the Marine Corps and learned there never to run away from anything. So I just said to myself, 'Hey, if I can help, I'm going to help,'" he told CBS.

Waking up to find your car missing doesn't exactly make for a good morning. I totally don't know that from experience. I 100% have not walked out of my place hungover only to find my car not there, and towed by Rocha's Towing Service. But that's not exactly what happened to Portland resident Erin Hatzi. Not only was her car NOT towed but she didn't have to deal with that piece of work, Rocha. Hanzi's home surveillance cameras recorded a woman walking up to her red Subaru, getting in and casually driving off.
