World's Largest Gathering of Ghosts During a 2016 red carpet release of the new Ghostbusters film, a group of 263 individuals got together and decided they'd dress as the iconic Ghost from the movies logo. If you were a kid in the 90s, you probably kept your nightlight on a few times only because you watched a particularly terrifying episode of "Are You Afraid of the Dark." Here are some secrets about the Midnight Society. Nickelodeon originally turned down the show, telling creators DJ MacHale and Ned Kandel that the show wouldn't work. A year later the network hired a new executive, Jay Mulaney, and when the two came back to pitch another show, Mulvaney was curious about why Nickelodeon had passed on Are You Afraid of the Dark in the first place and asked if they still wanted to do it.

I read about the Phillip experiment and it fascinated me. My housemate and I tried to replicate it, (created a fictional character called Harry bishop and would try to contact it) we would ask him to bring the remote to us, turn the light off etc, it kind of became an ongoing joke. Then one night I was drunk and was calling Harry names, teasing him etc, dared him to show me a sign and I kid you not the door to my hallway creaked open slowly and my cat went mental, ever since then we made a pact to never talk about him, I've moved since and I've had another few strange things happen. - Jgatt1986 ____ Not creepy but kind of cool. My mother split and transplanted a rose bush from my grandfather's farm about 40 years ago. It took but never bloomed. At that point, she only kept it because it grew into the fence nicely and kept us kids from climbing it. My grandfather died about 5 years after she transplanted it and that spring it bloomed red roses. A few years after that my grandmother died and the spring after it bloomed white roses. These are the only two years it has ever bloomed. - TheTrueLordHumungous

Thomas Kyd's Ur-Hamlet We all remember Hamlet, arguably one of the most famous Shakespearean plays in history. However, a playwright by the name of Thomas Kyd apparently wrote a version of the play at least a decade before Shakespeare. It is believed to be called "Ur-Hamlet" and is unfortunately nowhere to be found. Furthermore, we really don't know much about Thomas Kyd other than that he was a very influential playwright back in the day. If we ever do find the original copy of "Ur-Hamlet" we would be able to tell how much of Shakespeare's most famous play was really an original Shakespeare piece.
