James Cameron's sequel to Ridley Scott's masterpiece does something that not many follow up films can claim to do – it expands upon the original concept while still staying true to the ethos and style of its predecessor. It gives us the gratification of witnessing humanity strike back against the seemingly unstoppable force that stalked our protagonists in Alien while reminding us of the relentless nature of that very force.
