Monkey Hangers - Hartlepool United During the Napoleonic Wars, a French ship was wrecked off the shore of Hartlepool, with the only survivor being a pet monkey. The people of Hartlepool interrogated the chimpy chap, believing it to be a French spy. Then hung it. The Hartlepool United mascot is even known as H'Angus. And was elected mayor in 2002. Honestly. No monkey business.

The Chivers moonlight as Knights in Shining Armor (6 Photos)

Yesterday, the Chive Community rallied around a little warrior named Emberlyn. The determined two year-old lost her legs after a battle with Type 4 Caudal Regression Syndrome. Emberlyn has no hipbones, no tailbone, and no pelvic bones. Prosthetics won't be an option for her.

Every Canadian town's got some iconic historical structures that you visit on school trips, probably have to learn about in elementary school and is a structure that becomes iconic to the fabric of that town. For Winnipeg, one of their proudest historical sites is Fort Gibraltar, and every year they celebrate and host the Festival du Voyageur, the largest winter festival in Western Canada. For photographer and Lego builder Dan Harper, that's his favourite time of the year, and he wanted to build a tribute to the Festival and the fort, and he shared his work on his website and the Festival's Facebook .
