Every year around this time the networks do an overhaul of what shows they can afford to get rid of in order to make room for new series and prepare for presentations to advertisers. They've been crunching the numbers, and some of the show's they decided to toss are surprising. Usually what comes into play are low ratings and high budgets. The Green Room - After witnessing a murder, a punk rock band is forced into a vicious fight for survival against a group of maniacal skinheads. I just saw this movie and it had my interest the entire way through. It's pretty violent so if your girlfriend is squeamish, I recommend checking this one out without her.

As many of you know theCHIVE is headquartered in Austin, Texas. A lot of us at this company are transplants from all over the country and I think the diversity is what helps us appeal to so many people. Among the editors alone we have people from Indiana, Arizona, Michigan, Texas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and California. I recently took a trip home to watch my sister get married and it made me realize how much I miss California. I thought I'd share with you some of the great spots my home state has to offer. After all, Summer is almost here and you could use a vacation.
