Canadians invent a low-tech, sustainable trap for mosquitos (6 Photos)

It turns out that the solution for the various outbreaks of mosquito-borne viruses all over the world, including Zika, has been right in front of everyone.      The genesis of the idea is simple; mosquitos love to breed in standing water, especially if it's within old car tires.  There's something about the stale water and old rubber that get's them going, and laying some eggs.  So some Canadian researchers figured, why not use this against them?    They recently published in their findings in F1000 Research, and it's pretty amazing!

Montreal residents have always maintained that they were living in an affordable city. And they weren't lying.      A website called Parsehub, took a look at the all the major cities, and determined which would be the best bet for a startup, then they ranked their top 25.      Their focus was to rank startup cities, but their information and math is valid whether or not you're trying to live economically as an entrepreneur, as a student or just being you. It's about the bare essentials.      When it comes to the Canadian cities on the list, Montreal came in 9th overall, while Toronto came in 11th and Vancouver, as the most expensive Canadian city, came in at 13th overall.

1993 Newton Messagepad   Apples biggest flop it's touch screen was terrible and with a $700 price put off a lot of people. Steve Jobs terminated the program on his return to Apple in 1997.
