Cross Country Featured in the 1912, 1920 and 1924 Olympics, Cross Country was dominated by the Scandinavians and in particular legendary Finnish athlete Paavo Nurmi. It was discontinued (probably because 'Big' nations weren't winning it) although it is contested as part of the modern pentathlon.

Our U.S. Coast Guard doesn't get enough luv. Whether they're saving individuals that went swimming in swirling water or rescuing groups of prople from sinking ships…they go out, do their job and save lives. Think about this for a second. A human that you don't know goes swimming into a rip-tide. They know the power of the ocean yet they sprint in and keep the news-lines from reading, "kid drowns off the coast". Nope. Some of the worst TV shows the UK has ever seen (12 Photos)

Horne & Corden Despite being the most-watched debut show in the history of BBC Three, James Corden and Matthew Horne's short-lived sketch series has gone down as one of the worst in television history. Critics called it 'about as funny as credit default swaps' and mused that "the joke inevitably comes down to the fact that James Corden is fat and is happy to show us his wobbly bits." Cancelled after just one series, Corden has since branded his involvement in it as "a mistake." Good to see James Corden has gone on to bigger and better things! Proud to call him my fellow UK editor.

Toronto artist creates some rare TO-based Pokemon (8 Photos)

Just when you think the Pokemon Go craze has come and gone, you find yourself going to the park for a little piece and quiet and you're surrounded by people and their phones, running frantically to catch a Pidgey or Pikachu or whatever the hell else they're called. Looks like it's no where near being over. Pokemon hunters are still so prevalent in Toronto (and the rest of Canada, since we got the game so late and we're just trying to catch up to the world) that it inspired a Toronto-based artist to release a comic called Rare Pokemon in Toronto. The artist, Jennifer Herd, introduces some pretty iconic Toronto symbols into the Pokemon Go game, and imagines what their strengths and weaknesses would be. As a Torontonian, she hits the nail on the head, especially the Pokemon Go Hater. Check out more of her work on her Facebook & website.
