Artist illustrates skeletal frames of iconic cartoon characters (25 Photos)

Posted: 14 Jun 2016 01:02 AM PDT

Cartoon characters may appear to be flimsy, paper-thin beings, at first glance but according to illustrations by Oregon based artist Michael Paulus there is much more than meets the eye. Paulus has taken a careful examination of some of our favorite cartoon characters and drawn out the intricate bone structures that reside within them. The bone anatomy is then superimposed over the original rendering of the cartoon to help further display the inner-workings of the characters. The prints are available for purchase via Etsy.

Stick ’em up! Canadian Outlaws (8 Photos)

Posted: 13 Jun 2016 03:15 PM PDT

Bill Miner If anyone looked exactly like a stereotypical outlaw, it's this buddy guy. Although born in the States, Billy was quite possibly Canada's first stage coach robber. It is believed that he was behind B.C's first train robbery in 1904. He was also known as the "Gentleman Bandit" due to his politeness when robbing people. It is also widely believed that Bill himself came up with the saying "Stick 'em up!" Billy died while serving time at the Georgia State Penitentiary.
