NFL Annually, a rookie ref will make around $78,000, and a veteran ref can make upwards of $205,000. The average salary of an NFL ref in recent years has been $173,000. Projections show that by 2019, an veteran NFL ref will be making upwards of $230,000. That's a lot of money to play a blind man on the field. I kid.
